"The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" disturbed so many religious "authorities" that Allegro, an ordained minister, became anathema, the book was universally condemned and he committed suicide. He also translated the "render unto Caesar" story as telling the taxman to "go F... a mullet." Find the book. There was a lot more. HUGE WHAT?

Hello JIM, hey, they didn't teach me all this in Catholic School. Thank you very much and I'll be submitting now...

The earliest frescos of the Garden of Eden show Amanitas as the fruit of knowledge. The British author John Allegro, who was the first Sumerian scholar to translate the Dead Sea Scrolls, contended in "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" that the original name of Jesus meant "covered with semin" in Sumerian. This was the Sumerian name given to Amanita mushrooms. He also wrote that all of the apostles' Sumerian names were derived from psychoactive plants. Allegro was the last Sumerian scholar permitted to examine the scrolls. Please submit this pic to "WHAT question mark" group. l, f

Gorgeous "shroom", John! Love the essence of the color and the background to showcase the "shroom" in all its glorifying colors and stature! Thanks much for sharing, John, as it is a true beauty!
